Southern Lightning Engineers Limited was formed in 1977 and is very well regarded within the industry. We are Approved Contractors to many Local Authorities including Kent County Council and have carried out lightning protection works for several Shopping Centres, various Water Companies, Pfizer Limited, Glaxo Wellcome, Akzo Chemicals, Government Defence Research Agency, Seeboard, various Hospital Trusts and many prestigious building/electrical contractors in the South-East. We have earned an enviable reputation for quality of work and compliance with completion programmes over the years.
We are members of ATLAS (association of technical lightning and access specialists LTD) and are adequetly insured for all risks. The service we offer is both comprehensive and competitive, but we are happy to carry out risk assessments and designs with no obligation.

DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT TEAMS
Commercial experience combined with the latest computer techniques allows our design team to produce not only sets of working drawings but fully documented calculations and illustrative graphics.
The effectiveness of the management team is evident at every stage. Close liaison with the client ensures that various requirements are evaluated and interpreted to a satisfactory conclusion. The design team monitor all projects through to final commissioning as a matter of course.
Every project is invariably unique with its own problems. The wealth of experience contained in the various teams, be they design, installation or management ensures a satisfactory result.

SITE MANAGEMENT
Contract management negotiates the supply of all material required for a contract, using suppliers of proven capability. The Site Foreman is then responsible for ensuring that materials are called up and are on the site so as to permit the planned progress of the installation.
On all major contracts we prefer appoint a Project Manager and supporting team on-site. In this way we can monitor progress and liaise with relevant personnel, both on-site and at head office.
TRAINING AND SAFETY
Training is given to established staff by involving them on outside courses and by instruction both in the office and on-site.
We regularly up-date our “individual performance” files which ensures that the quality level of our staff is never allowed to drop
