Settling-in
Introduction
OBJECTIVE
HOW TO GET THERE
BREAKS & LUNCH
We will start at about 10.00 am and engage in up to 8 synarios, within about 10-15 minutes breaks between. There are rest zones on each site if required. We will have a ‘light’ burger lunch for about 1/2 to 1 hour
a full dinner for everyone will following in the evening.
We will have a Marshall assigned to us who instructions must be followed and whos decision is final. We will be issued overalls, gun, ammunition, and full face mask. These masks’ MUST be worn at ALL times when on the game sites and anyone lifting, or taking off will be sent off for our own safety.
We will be given instructions & try our guns at a trial test site before starting.
If a small Team of less than 20 it may mean that we may have to alternate numbers each side. However, if another Group (20+) is in attendance day we may join with them, (provided mutually agreed), in which case we will organise ‘mixed’ teams to make the exercises more interesting.
Please remember, from our perspective, the game is not simply about shooting each other but how with both individually and collectively work together showing initiative, support and leadership.
Yourself will firstly help
please be on time
your lateness will have an affective on the Team!
Please let us know if you intend to travel direct. We have a few members of staff who will need lifts
again please let us know if you are prepared to be good enough to do this.
Bring ‘old’ clothes to wear underneath the camouflage overalls you will be provided. You may wish to wear underlay clothes to reduce the impact of any shots
although we understands we will feel the impact when shot
especially the first time. The full face masks protect the ‘entire’ face and are not just goggles to protect the eyes.
Old trainers/ankle boots is important - the paint used is washable but the environment with paint and mud would not be nice on relatively new white trainers
so please avoid.
Following the end of the Paintball at about 4.00 pm we will be going for drinks at the Camelot nearby followed by dinner.
Washing/Shower facilities exist on site
so please also bring a wash bag.

Team Building is an active process by which a group of individuals with a common purpose are focused and aligned to achieve a specific task or set of outcomes.
Team Building simply accelerates the natural process of team formation by setting very clear goals right from the start. A team building workshop uses a variety of tools and techniques to accelerate the process further, bringing the team together quickly and effectively.
Every member of a team is an individual with their own skills, needs and ideas. Being a member of a team does not take away that individual identity, so it is very important to recognise and exploit it.
2
Effective team building recognises that individual identity. Effective team building takes individual, personal goals and combines them into a common purpose. Everyone in the team is motivated and driven by what they get out of it, personally. It's easy to all agree to common goals at a team meeting, but when it comes to taking action and making that action consistent, it's very difficult to keep on track if team goals conflict with personal goals.
3
A team, by itself, does not exist. We may look at a group of people, working together with common goals and a desire to achieve and call what we see Teamwork. Really powerful teamwork happens when individuals are working both for their own and for shared goals. They have a sense of commitment and of personal benefit which is powerful and irresistible.
So, team building is simply a way of actively managing the natural process of team formation by harnessing motivation and setting clearly defined goals and targets.
1
Today, teams are reorganised more and more often. There simply isn't time in many organisations to allow teams to form naturally. The accelerated process of team building is a cornerstone of organisational change as it allows new teams to harness their initial enthusiasm and convert it into results.
2
One of the most important aspects of team building is this conversion of ideas and enthusiasm into motivation and delivery. At first, a new team is a collection of individuals. At this stage, all they may have in common is a job title or project. Some of these individuals will have strong ideas as to how the team can best achieve its goals, and these ideas will not always be complementary. A team like this, left to form naturally, will experience some initial discomfort as the direction of the team is established.
3
In the past, teams could be allowed to go through this process in their own time. Today, things are different. A recent survey found that team based working and frequent reorganisation is changing the way that businesses operate:
4
Voluntary sector organisations in this millennium are undergoing some major and far reaching changes in the way that they work. One of the most common is the shift from old hierarchical organisational structures to flatter, more responsive organisational ones. This usually involves the creation of project teams as organisations become more task focused. Teams are often multi-disciplined, drawing on the skills and experience of individuals representing a variety of functional projects around the organisation. Sometimes these teams are not physically located in the same building or town.
It has been found that project based teamwork is a trend that has become quite far reaching. 81% of companies interviewed endorse project based work. Project teams typically consist of up to ten people, although in some instances they are larger, and tend to last for periods of a few months to a few years.
5
Active team building accelerates the process of team formation and quickly creates a team of focused individuals, sharing a common purpose and goal, fully 'bought in' to the direction the team will take to achieve those goals. Enthusiasm and motivation are easily translated into achievements and success without any additional external influence.
Team Building is necessary to allow modern businesses to focus effort and energy on results and success. Without actively managing the team formation process, teams never reach their full potential before an external change affects the team.

So, team building is simply a way of actively managing the natural process of team formation by harnessing motivation and setting clearly defined goals and targets.

It takes a lot of time, commitment and money to continue to update this site alone with over 191+ web pages needed material FREE for the asking! This excludes the work of material to download. You can help in three simple and easy ways. Firstly, become an annual sponsor of this site with a contribution of only £25.00 please pay this before downloading ANY material. To fail to make payment deprives future development for Voluntary Groups and penalises small organisations/groups please us to help you!Secondly, in addition, or alternative, you can sponsor a web page, (dedicated to your concern, with your logo depicted at the top left hand box, promoting your services or products linked to a host of search engines and therefore locatable not just by people who specifically visit this site, but by users of the Internet as a whole.Thirdly, please spread the word about this (and our other web sites), to every Organisation/Group staff person you have ever talked to as well as to other Voluntary Sector/non-for-profit bodies that need help! In recognition of your direct kind support and to reciprocate the same, acknowledgement of this will be accorded in our extensive publicity material and in Press Releases, plus Web site(s), (of which we have no less than eight), and web pages, (of which there are over 191+ on this site alone), which would provide a excellent high profile and good customer relations for yourselves alone. Added to this will undoubtedly be the excellent publicity/public relations this would create for your body, coupled with the interest it would continue to create on the part of other sources/companies involved, which, in the past has precipitated business for companies who have supported us and would potentially continue to be of value in terms of future business. It cannot be stressed enough that your kind contribution would not only be deeply appreciated but will go towards a very good and worthwhile cause once again, PLEASE...PLEASE SUPPORT!! Just the help with the provision of the some or all of the sponsorship would make a significant difference and valued contribution long remembered making this small contribution a longer term investment rather than an expense. We can but once more only hope that you will feel able to help in some way in relation to the above in support of this invaluable work, (targeted at new, small, and emerging voluntary/charitable organisations/groups), if only as a goodwill/customer relations exercise. The added benefit to yourselves of this proposed work with the aid of the resources sought would provide advertising for yourselves as well, which would positively promote your business. |
