FISS – a customised service designed for each individual.Placing the person at the centre, deciding what is on the menu – where, when and how the service will be provided to support their independence. An individual or team of support workers recruited to support them. Support may be short or long term – a couple of hours up to 24/7, where the service user wants it. The service may encompass supported living, respite support and residential services to older people and will focus on outcomes for individuals rather than a specific model of service.
