Countrywide plc – the country’s largest estate agents (Bairstow Eves, Mann & Co, Dixons, Bridgfords, Abbotts, Taylors etc) started driver training in 1992 when the fleet size was 1800 cars. It has now grown to 5000 cars.
Since 1992 we have trained more than 12,000 drivers, and the claims rate has fallen from 95% to 44%. 1200 new drivers are trained every year. In one year alone insurance premiums were reduced by £600,000. |

Palmer & Harvey McLane with 1200 LGV’s ranging from 12.5 to 38 tonne started driver training in 1994. By 1998 all drivers had been trained at a total cost of £81,000. 1997 savings alone were £230,000 (see enclosed letter).
