Our Copychecker program is a writing development tool designed to prevent accidental plagiarism. It allows the loading of electronic source material which a student can practice paraphrasing or accurate citation. One button press shows the sentences clearly marked for their similarity to one another, colour-coded for clarity.

Students can also discover the different results achieved when writing without looking at the notes closely, by using the freehand section, where the notes are hidden. They can compare their efforts with any other related documents they have on their machine.

The intention is that Copychecker would be used in class and eventually be used by students as a regular practice.

Copychecker is written by the author of Copycatch Gold, which is widely used at the detection stage in universities.
