Providing support at home Carewatch is a network of local offices providing care and support to people in the local community. We have been in operation for over ten years, meeting the needs of a variety of people from children to the elderly.

Carewatch provide over 8 million hours of care every year to people in their own homes or supported living environments, through a national network of 140 offices throughout the UK. That´s more than 160,000 hours per week.

Carewatch work closely with their industry regulators in England, Scotland and Wales to ensure that the care we provide is of the highest quality and meets all current legislation.

Who gives the care?

Caring for Older People Carewatch employs thousands of dedicated Care Workers; people who have been highly trained to deal with the unique and differing needs of those who use our services.

All Care Workers have two professional references and an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau or Disclosure Scotland as a minimum and have to undergo our orientation and induction programme before they start work in the community. They have the opportunity to work toward a nationally recognised qualification in care and recruitment standards are fully compliant with the requirements of our regulators.

Many Care Workers may also choose to specialise, and grow their expertise with particular service user groups, for example, those with complex needs or Learning Disabilities. Our Care Workers are encouraged to enhance their skills in providing care and support for individuals with wide-ranging care or support needs. These range from supporting service users who have Parkinsons Disease, caring for people recovering from a stroke, through to the rehabilitation and support of individuals with head injuries.
